The Charlotte Hornets are one of the silent winners of the 2020 offseason. They picked LaMelo Ball in the draft and furthermore, swooped Gordon Hayward from Boston on a massive 4-year deal.
Hayward is yet to feature as a Hornet, but the camp is already pumped up for his debut! Charlotte signed Hayward on a 4-year $120 million deal to make him the most valuable player on their roster.
It was certainly a win-win situation as the 30-year-old Hayward will now see increased playing time and more responsibility compared to his stint with the Celtics.

Hayward is a real two-way talent who can cause problems with his explosiveness. His finishing is good, and he boasts of a beautiful jumper as well.
The Hornets’ social media team couldn’t quite contain their excitement on landing a player of his quality and posted a video adding that he’s set to make his debut soon.
The Charlotte Hornets have bolstered their roster by signing Gordon Hayward. However, this isn’t their first attempt in trying to sign the Indianapolis native.
Utah Jazz once rejected them in 2014 and retained Hayward when he was at Salt Lake City by matching what the Hornets offered the forward.
The second attempt reaped success, and Hayward is a much more experienced and complete player now. He averaged an impressive 17.5 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 50.0% from the field in the previous season.

The Hornets have revamped the roster and added more firepower in hopes of qualifying for the Playoffs. They used their draft picks to select young talents, with LaMelo Ball being one of them. Moreover, Charlotte also picked up Duke University’s Vernon Carey Jr.

Both these young stars were born when the 3rd millennium dawned in 2001. This has caused some funny troubles within their teammates, and Cody Zeller is one person who’s having a hard time accepting it.

Nonetheless, the Hornets’ roster looks extremely impressive for the upcoming season. They can achieve wonders as a unit, and playoff contention seems very realistic now. LaMelo Ball will be the center of attraction, but don’t sleep on Gordon Hayward’s talent!
