The Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry will finally make a return this year after a forgettable 2019-20 NBA season. In the Warriors’ absence, the LA Lakers were crowned the NBA Champions.
Curry and the Warriors were not a part of the NBA Bubble due to their poor regular season. However, this season they might pick it up right where they left it off in the 2019 NBA Finals.

Steph Curry praises LBJ, AD, and the Lakers
Steph spoke highly of his conference rivals in an interview with Marc J. Spears.
“L.A. played amazing. Like LeBron, AD [Anthony Davis], I was happy for them, obviously. When you know what it takes to win a championship, whether you’re in the fight or not, you appreciate that final moment when a team accomplishes their goal.
“And it’s almost inspiring and motivating for us to get back and look forward to this year. And then, obviously, you include just what it took to get the bubble off and what that sacrifice was being down there for however many days.
“I’m glad they got through the season. I’m glad it worked. And L.A. did what they had to do and got it done.”

This year there is cut-throat competition in the Western Conference. For starters, the biggest dynasty of the 2010s, the Dubs will be back. Furthermore, a number of young teams are emerging as potential contenders as well.
Watching every team fight for the glorious Larry O’Brien trophy will certainly be a sight to behold. But the million-dollar question remains – Are the Warriors still a top team in the West?

Ahead of their dismal 2019-20 NBA season, the Warriors dominated the league. They won 3 NBA titles in just 4 years, and if it weren’t for untimely injuries to their stars, they could have 3-peated.

However, now things have changed. The Dubs are still a great team, but their aura of being undefeated has faded away. They already lost Kevin Durant last year, and Klay Thompson will miss another season dealing with injuries.
So all things considered, the Warriors should still finish as a Top-5 seed led by Steph Curry. But they will not have a cakewalk to the NBA Finals like they had gotten used to up until 2019.
