With the way the Denver Nuggets played last season, they’ve become the underdogs that the other teams need to look out for. This holds especially true for the Warriors, since they finished with the worst record in 2019-20 and are hoping to make their big comeback. The Golden State Warriors newly built team managed to one-up the Nuggets in the preseason game. However, the even better news is Draymond Green and James Wiseman are back practicing with the entire team.

Green and Wiseman had tested positive for the coronavirus which led to the delay of training camp as well. While Green is a veteran in the team with unmatched defensive abilities, Wiseman is the rookie they acquired this offseason in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Wiseman was one of the top prospects this year and is expected to do some playmaking for the team. The two didn’t play the preseason game against the Nuggets, but the fact that they’re back is an enormous relief for the regular-season games. After watching Wiseman practice for the first time with the Warriors, Green had some positive feedback for the young addition.

Warriors’ veteran praises Wiseman’s mistakes

Green is famous for being a little harsh on his teammates, although he knows how to bring out the best in his teammates with his unique leadership style. So for him to compliment Wiseman on their first day playing side by side, should be an honor for the rookie.

According to Anthony Slater from The Athletic, “Draymond Green said he even loved the James Wiseman mistakes today: “Because it was all energy-related. When you need to tone a guy’s energy back, you can do that. But lethargic, laid-back guys, it’s very hard to turn their tick up.”

By the looks of it, it seems like Wiseman is fitting in well with the star-studded Warriors. Head coach, Steve Kerr hasn’t announced whether the two will be back for the preseason finale against the Sacramento Kings.

The Warriors made sure they added the best of players to their roster this offseason. Going another year without Klay Thompson won’t be easy, but with a team like this, it’s possible they will be back into title contention.
