Lakers to wear “Black Mamba” alternative jersey to honor Kobe Bryant

The playoffs have finally begun, and today the Lakers will lock horns with the Blazers. This series is special because of the exciting matchup between LeBron James and Damian Lillard. But today, we have another reason to be excited about this series.

According to the NBA’s Lockervision website, the Lakers will wear 8/24 “Black Mamba” alternative jerseys for game 4 for the game, which will be held on August 24.

The jerseys will have a small white patch with number two to honor Gigi Bryant as well. This gesture was well-received by Vanessa Bryant, who shared a story on her Instagram account revealing the jerseys.

It is quite evident that she loved these jerseys and will cheer for the Lakers in the loving memory of her husband and daughter.

Moreover, if everything plays out in the favor of Lakers, they might advance to the next round while wearing this iconic jersey. But underestimating the Blazers is not an option for the 16-time NBA champions. Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis have to bring their A-game to the table to win it all.
