James Harden is one of the best players in the NBA today. Harden has consistently been in the league MVP conversation for the past five years. ‘The Beard’ is one of the most skillful and talented players in the history of the NBA. He has consistently put up impressive numbers every season. Off the court, James Harden is one of the most charismatic, flashy, and flamboyant personalities.
Since his arrival to the Rockets in 2012, Harden has gone from strength t0 strength on the court. During his time with the Rockets, ‘The Beard’ has averaged almost 30 points a game. He has also been an All-Star for each season he’s been in Houston, along with being named to the All-NBA first team six seasons. To top all his achievements off, he won the 2018 NBA MVP.

James Harden has always strived to be one of the best players he can be. Even as far as high-school, Harden was considered a prime prospect to make it in the NBA. Harden focused on nothing but basketball. Growing up on the rough streets of Compton, Harden had a rough upbringing. For Harden, basketball was the way for him to make a better life for him and his family.
In an ESPN E-60 documentary on James Harden, his mother shared an interesting anecdote about the player. Monja Willis revealed Harden once hit a young girl with a basketball in junior high. “He got in trouble one time in junior high, he threw a basketball at a girl…he wasn’t into dating, just wanted to play basketball. I think she was trying to flirt with him, so he threw the basketball at her.”
