The Los Angeles Lakers took a comforting 2-0 lead over the Nuggets in Game 2 of the WCF. The game was decided at the very last second of the shot clock and it could have gone either way. But Anthony Davis crushed Denver’s hopes for a comeback with a breathtaking buzzer-beater.

AD struggled in the first half of the game, when LeBron James kept the Lakers in the game. However, during the second half, it was all Davis. The Unibrow was unstoppable from the field as he drained the last 10 of the Lakers’ points late in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers bench went berserk during this run and gave the team much-needed momentum in the absence of fans in the bubble. Moreover, the Lakers bench was active during the entire game. In the late first quarter, Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr. was at the free-throw line. As per NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Lakers bench had some comments to distract MPJ.

The Lakers are up two games to nothing in the WCF, but the job is not done yet. Denver is a team with extraordinary resilience and ability to make comebacks. Even in Game 2, they erased a 16-deficit in the third quarter and took a one-point lead in the dying minutes of the game.

If it weren’t for AD’s insane game-winning shot, the Nuggets would have tied the series one game apiece. Whatever be the case, Game 3 is important for both sides.

The Lakers will attempt to push the Nuggets to the brink of elimination, while Denver will try to make a statement victory. Moreover, LBJ will be in search to shrug off the poor second-half performance and lead the team with a better performance during clutch moments.

What do you think? Will Lakers take one more step towards an NBA title? Or will the Nuggets become a thorn in their path?
