Steph Curry is one of the most iconic players in NBA history. The Golden State Warriors point guard has changed the way basketball is played.
Curry entered the league in the 2009 NBA Draft. He went to the Warriors as the 7th pick in the draft. Since joining the Warriors, Steph has become one of the most accomplished players in the NBA and has broken many records with his three-point shooting.
Curry holds the record for most threes made in a regular season, playoffs, finals game, and for the Golden State Warriors. There is no doubt that is the greatest shooter in basketball history.

Curry reached the top of the NBA in 2015 when he became the NBA MVP and led the Golden State Warriors to the NBA championship. The following season, he and the Warriors had the greatest regular season in history, with a record of 73-9.

Curry made more history that season, becoming the only unanimous MVP in NBA history. Curry is a three-time NBA Champion and a six-time NBA All-Star.
Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are one of the greatest shooting backcourts in NBA history. Now, more teams put an emphasis on three-point shooting after the two players showed the model for success.

Curry is one of the most renowned and beloved players in the NBA. His popularity across the world is unparalleled, with him being as popular as LeBron James during his peak.
Oftentimes, many analysts from different sports use Curry as the barometer of comparison for players in their own sport and Steph’s crossover appeal is unmatched.
NFL analyst Michael Irvin compared Steph Curry to another mercurial athlete in the football world – Kansas City Chiefs‘ Patrick Mahomes. Irvin said that Mahomes is the equivalent of Steph Curry in the NFL.

On the Damon, Ratto, and Kolsky’s radio show, Irvin said, “I consider Patrick to be the Steph Curry of the NFL. Somebody that’s going to take this thing to the next level. Steph Curry took 3-pt shooting to the next level … in a sense, Pat Mahomes is doing some of that in the world of the NFL.”
While there is no direct comparison across sports, Mahomes and Curry are very similar. The two players became the best in their sport, despite not being expected to do so. It will be interesting to see if Curry and Mahomes can have simultaneous success in the NFL and the NBA this season.
