It is quite normal and obvious to hear banter or heated exchanges between stars from a particular sport. But how often do players from across sports go tooth and nail against one another? McGregor and Mayweather? Well, they were at least under the ‘contact sports’ umbrella. But what about LeBron James and Colby Covington?

These two names arguably do not stand any chance of an actual fight inside the octagon. Hence, it is often a hot-headed Colby who always makes Twitter his battleground to provoke The Akron Hammer into a nasty battle. He would go to length in order to make his case again Bron stronger and dirtier.

UFC star Colby Covington does it again

This time around, the #1 UFC welterweight division fighter went a step ahead in his frequent mocking of LeBron. He tried to demean the Lakers’ great by taking a dig at Nate Robinson, a former Knicks player.

When legendary Mike Tyson met Roy Jones Jr. for an epic bout that ended in a draw, there was this another fight that caught the attention of Colby. With an epic Snoop Dogg commentary, when YouTube sensation Jake Paul defeated (KO) former NBA star Nate Robinson, Colby found his moment to drag in Bron.

He called out the four-time NBA Champion, saying, “I’d make @kingjames eat the canvas in half the amount of time.” He did not just stop there. The 32-YO also had the guts to call the entire present-day NBA fraternity as “soft”.

When was the last time he tried to jar LeBron James and his legacy?

Not far ago, in October 2020, Colby wore a “F–k LeBron” t-shirt and sent out a clear message for the NBA veteran to demand a boxing bout. He called him a “spineless coward” as according to him, Bron never takes the stand for the important stuff. Something no LeBron fan will ever agree to. Also, it is evident that Colby’s and Bron’s political interests do not fall in line with one another’s choices. This is enough for The Chaos to voice his disapproval of the legendary status of LeBron.

Even Darren Till had earlier predicted that a 5’11” Colby will easily defeat the 6’9″ King James inside the ring. Well, the Akron Hammer never really cared enough about these derogatory remarks. So there is absolutely no reaction from him as of now. But yes, it is a fantasy of many across the globe to someday get to watch a LeBron vs Colby in a match of the century (or whichever way it gets best promoted).
