The Los Angeles Lakers won a record-equalling 17th NBA championship when LeBron James led them to victory against his former Miami Heat team. It was an incredible end to a pandemic-struck season, and the Laker faithful are on cloud nine. But what about the LA Clippers fans?

In a rivalry, it is but obvious that when one team wins, fans of that team will make sure to mock their adversaries. This was the case with the Clippers and the Lakers who were the mighty favorites when the season began. However, the Clippers fell short in the conference semi-finals.

On the other hand, the Lakers ended their campaign successfully by restoring every bit of the faith that fans had in them. As LeBron James masterfully played his way to a Finals triple-double, things never really looked bright for Miami.

This is the first time since 2010 that the Lakers have secured the prestigious Larry O’Brien trophy. While the team was jubilant, the Laker faithful felt the need to taunt Clipper fans for over-hyping a team that collapsed in the second round.

Snoop Dogg and other Los Angeles Lakers followers destroy LA Clippers on Twitter

Los Angeles was in a frenzy as the Lakers closed out Game 6 against the Heat. Though Miami rallied back with a fight in the fourth, King James held on and raced to his fourth Finals MVP trophy. Fans took this moment to show their pride and, of course, mock Clippers fans!

Die-hard Lakers fan Snoop Dogg did an Instagram live after the victory. The rap legend sported a Lakers jacket and gave a “shoutout to the Clippers.” With his fans watching, Snoop mentioned how “hard” it was to win a title and subtly pointed out the Clippers shortcomings.

Twitter was overflowing with comments made by Laker fans against the Clippers.

A Lakers fan posted about the things that were said about the purple and gold when they assembled the championship team a year ago.

A Clippers vs Lakers WCF was highly anticipated. However, the Clips never made it past the second round and fell to the Nuggets in seven games.

The Clippers are yet to be crowned champions in the NBA, a fact Lakers fans went to town with on Twitter.
