We all create our own memories to commemorate a special event. To never let the memories fade away, some items act as a gentle reminder and rekindle the past inside us. The Los Angeles Lakers acquired the first title of their three-peat in 2000. Kobe Bryant who won his first championship wearing purple and gold, wanted to share his mighty achievement with his parents.
Upon winning the 2000 NBA title, Kobe gifted two identical diamond rings to his parents in commemoration of his victory. The two sparkling rings are identical to the ones the players received in honor of their championship triumph.

Kobe’s parents, Joe and Pamela, had the rings with them until 2013, when Pamela decided to sell-off the dazzling ring, along with a few other memorabilia that belonged to the Mamba. While this might have come on the back of an unsettling relationship with their son, Kobe acted quickly and sued his parents for trying to sell his items.
However, after failing to stop them from doing so, he reached an agreement with his parents. It was for them to sell a collection of six-items and no more. An avid memorabilia collector found interest in Kobe’s items and purchased the six-item collection. He paid $280,000 for it, which included the ring. Now, in a recent auction, the collector listed the ring for sale which gave him a mountain of surprise.

Now, the collector who had purchased the ring from Pamela Bryant, listed the same to the auction house to sell it off. The collector was clever to give it off at this time, keeping in mind about the skyrocketing prices. Ever since the Mamba passed, his die-hard fans have been yearning to own a piece of something that belonged to their eternal hero.
The bidding for the ring started at $15,000 and people kept raising the price for the stunning piece of jewelry. The 14-karat gold ring embedded with diamonds, fetched exactly $206,080 at the auction as per TMZ Sports. A fine piece of trade made by the unknown collector, earned him almost the entire price which he paid for a six-item collection including the ring.
