The legend of Skip Bayless just keeps rising. Every basketball fan must hate him for the senseless comments he makes. Bayless is frowned upon for his remarks on NBA players, which humiliate them directly. He never shies away from mincing words on a player, his personality, or performance. LeBron James is a man who is no stranger to his world of mockery.
After leaving ESPN, Bayless started his own show called ‘Skip and Shannon: Undisputed,’ about four years ago. He added to his long-standing beef with James by making comments about him on a recent episode of his show.

Skip Bayless spoke about the Detroit Pistons team from the 80s. The Bad Boys are trending lately, owing to their feature in the recent episodes of ‘The Last Dance.’ He then went to pick on a current player who would have struggled against them. And of course, he chose LeBron James.
“Your man GOAT James, the phony GOAT, would have gotten terrorized and humiliated by the Bad Boys Pistons.” He had no logic to prove it, but still, his stressed words sounded reasonable.

Speaking about the toughness the Pistons brought with them, he felt James could stand no chance. “It would not have been a pretty sight what they would’ve done to a LeBron James, who not nearly as mentally tough as Michael Jordan.”
The four-time MVP has put up a few memorable performances against the Pistons. However, Bayless feels he could have done nothing against the Bad Boys team. They gave Michael Jordan and the double three-peat Bulls a dreadful time in their days. LeBron James is nowhere close to their level, according to Bayless.
“The Pistons played football” – Skip Bayless
Bayless glorified the Pistons for notching up their physical game to contain Michael Jordan. He reflected on them bringing a ‘football style of play’ into the basketball court. The Bulls emerged as their biggest rivals in the late 80s.

He mentioned his love for the former Pistons’ center, John Salley. Quoting Salley, he said, “We were essential to Michael becoming Michael because, if he can get through us, he could get through anybody.” The Pistons developed a separate set of rules to stop Jordan with their physical strength added with a few tactics.
Bayless called Jordan an “all-time cold-blooded assassin,” and how he went through a physical transformation to put up with the strength of the Pistons. The 68-year-old claims that, if Jordan himself found it so hard, LeBron James could not have overcome the Bad Boys team.
