The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a blazing start in the Western Conference Finals. They have already taken a 2-0 lead over the Nuggets and are in a position to finish the job in the next two games. Maybe this Lakers squad will prove to be too much for Denver?
The Nuggets, from their end, almost pulled a rabbit out of the hat and erased a 16 point deficit in the crunch time. If it weren’t for Anthony Davis, they would have won the game, as the Nuggets held a one point lead with just 2.1 seconds on the clock.
Little did the Nuggets know that AD would channel his inner Mamba and hit a dagger to finish off the game. He drained a beautiful three-pointer to win the game with a score of 105-103. To really seal the deal, Davis yelled “KOBE!” once he drained the jumper.

Many NBA players and fans were left speechless by AD’s buzzer-beater. AD received immense praise from everyone around him, but one comment stands among top of them. It was from Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant.
Vanessa and her daughters have been through a lot in the last few months. And moments like these must make them feel so blessed. This proves that Kobe might be gone, his killer mentality will always stay alive.
Davis’ shot resembled Kobe’s game-winner back in 2006 against the Suns. The whole Lakers team has been paying tribute to the late legend and they are just a few more wins away from making a decade long wish come true for Lakers fans.
Lakers vs Nuggets Game 3: Who will be victorious?
The Denver Nuggets are a superb team, and there are no two ways to look at it. They overcame two 3-1 deficits in the first round and second round, and their resilience has been on full display in this playoff run. However, the Lakers are a notch above their previous opponents.

The LA Clippers had the chance to put the series to bed on three separate occasions. Ultimately, the team’s poor chemistry led to their demise and second-round from the playoffs.
On the other hand, the Lakers have been playing like a well-oiled team. Each and every player has been fulfilling his role perfectly on this roster. While LeBron James and Anthony Davis carry the major scoring burden for the roster, Rondo and Howard have turned back the clock to support the two superstars.
The rise of Alex Caruso has also played a vital role in the Lakers’ dominance this postseason. All things considered, the Lakers are in a good position to push the Nuggets to the edge of elimination in Game 3.
