It’s been almost eight months since NBA legend Kobe Bryant passed away in a tragic accident. However, the Lakers icon will never be forgotten by any basketball fan or player. The franchise has paid respect to him at every opportunity possible.
Recently, the franchise introduced a special ‘Black Mamba’ edition jersey for the late legend. It has worked wonders for the team as the Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of making the WCF this postseason. Furthermore, players have paid tribute to Kobe in their unique way.
Lakers superstar Anthony Davis revealed a tradition that the team has picked up to honor Kobe. He said:

Kobe is irreplaceable in Lakers’ history and it is always good to see players always remember him. The Mamba won five NBA championships for the team in his illustrious career. The perfect way to end this year for the Lakers, would be to win a ring for Kobe.

Like Davis said, the team has Kobe Bryant’s blessings over their heads this postseason. The fairytale ending to this year would be to lift an NBA trophy. But the job is far from over right now.
They will most likely advance to the WCF, where they might face the LA Clippers in all likelihood. This year’s Clippers team is a tough nut to crack even with LBJ and AD on the roster. Moreover, the Clippers are defensive juggernauts, and they would bring their A-game to the table in WCF.

Luckily, for the Lakers fans, King James is still playing at an elite level even at 35 years of age. If James can carry his form to the next round, the fans will witness a stunning series nonetheless. Imagine if the Lakers win the title and LeBron James screams “KOBE THIS IS FOR YOU”, that moment will go into the history books.
However, let’s not get ahead of yourselves and wait for the results. But one thing is certain: This Lakers team is certainly capable of winning an NBA title for the late Kobe Bean Bryant.
