The NBA Finals are over and the Los Angeles Lakers have been crowned the champions of the basketball world. This is the 17th title for the franchise, and the credit goes to the terrific duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

While LeBron James clinched his fourth NBA ring, it was the first title for Anthony Davis and many other Lakers players. James had promised the Laker Nation that he would bring back glory to the franchise, and the King delivered on his promise.

The victory wouldn’t have been possible without Davis. AD turned out to be the perfect Robin to LBJ’s Batman in the Lakers and was phenomenal in the postseason.

In the post-game interview, Davis shared his thoughts on the path to becoming NBA champions after this prolonged season. He said, “We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs… It’s been a surreal experience.”

Davis also spoke about the late legend Kobe Bryant in his post-game interview. He said:

Ever since the tragedy, all we wanted to do was do it for him and we didn’t let him down. It would have been great to do it in last game in his jerseys but it made us come out even more aggressive and even more powerful on both ends of the floor to make sure we close it out tonight. I know he is looking down and is proud of us. I know Vanessa is proud of us. The organization is proud of us. It means a lot to us.”
