Miami Heat’s luck doesn’t seem to run out. After having a stellar record this season, they have once again ousted the Boston Celtics in Game 4. A ray of hope for the Celtics to even out the series was snatched in this game that stretched till the final buzzer. On top of that, there was an unsung hero in the Miami Heat’s team in a crucial Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Unexpectedly breaking records, their very own rookie, Tyler Herro, rose to the occasion. While everyone celebrated in joy, former Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade himself reacted to his protege overtaking his record.

Dwyane Wade on seeing Tyler Herro break his record

Tyler Herro etched himself into NBA History books after his outstanding performance in Game 4 of the ECF. Coming off the bench, he led the team to a 3-1 lead against the Celtics and dropped a career-high of 37 points. If this wasn’t enough, he also broke Dwyane Wade’s franchise record for the most points scored by a rookie in the Playoffs.

Dwyane Wade was part of the Miami Heat for most of his career and was one of the legends of the franchise. When reacting to Herro, Wade at first showed some humorous remorse by posting, “It was a great record while it lasted.”

After that, when the record was officially updated to Tyler Herro, Wade appreciated the latter and wrote, “He’s special!”

Looking at his own team’s legend comment on his record, Herro would be flattered. It was indeed a great day for the rookie, as he also became the youngest player in NBA history to drop 30 points off the bench. This can be a great motivation for the team in the remaining series. The experienced players will be even more fired up if the youth continue to perform this way, .
