Luka Doncic took the league by storm in his sophomore season in the NBA. The former Euro league MVP has led the Dallas Mavericks to a 43-32 record and clinched the seventh seed. The 21-year-old superstar almost averaged a triple double this season with 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists.
It is safe to say that on a given night he can cause problems for the opposing defense. In the NBA 2020 Playoffs, Mavericks are tied with Clippers at 1 game apiece despite the latter being a championship favorite.
Luka is known for his killer step-back threes, but according to his teammate Seth, it’s much more than that. He believes Doncic’s playstyle resembles Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.

What makes Luka Doncic a franchise player for the Mavericks?
The Dallas Mavericks had the best offense in the league this season. Luka might not be the brightest defender in the league, but it’s his offense that injects the Mavs with a wave of confidence.
Seth Curry appeared on The Ryen Russillo Podcast and had nothing but praise for the young star.
“It’s just the joy he plays with. He’s a young kid, and you can tell when he gets out on the floor he just loves the game. Honestly, it’s similar to Steph — just out there having a lot of fun.
“He gets a lot of attention and can pass the ball and get it to me. He is special already.”

The way Luka enjoys the game of basketball reminds us of none other than Stephen Curry. Moreover, the way he plays, Luka might win a few MVPs in his career.
Luka Doncic also broke the record for the most points in a playoffs debut earlier this week. This year’s playoff run will give him the much-needed playoff experience. The Porzingis and Doncic duo could be very lethal for the Los Angeles Clippers.
