The Blazers went 6-2 in the seeding games to complete their quest to make it to the playoffs. Their journey in the bubble started with a win against the Memphis Grizzlies and now the Blazers can make or break their playoff dreams with a mini-tournament, once again Ja Morant and Memphis.
“We’re happy, we’re relieved, we’re excited to be in the play-in round,” Terry Stotts said, as per Joe Vardon of ‘The Athletic.’ “It’s not like we were jumping up and down. We’re where we wanted to be, and so I don’t think anybody’s over the moon right now. We know we’ve got a tough opponent in Memphis.
CJ McCollum, who had got 33.0 in the first win against the Grizzlies, was over the moon about his team stepping an inch closer towards making a sixth straight playoff appearance. “Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. F**k,” he said, heading into the locker room.
Blazers star Damian Lillard and his long-range shooting is a sight of art
Dame Lillard brought his MVP caliber performance inside the bubble, and that is a showcase of basketball poetry. His three-point range is too hot to handle for the NBA. Lillard has established himself as one of the best in the NBA, setting records along the way.
Lillard pulled out his clutch game against the Nets and overcame their defense to contribute 42.0 points and 12.0 assists towards the Blazers’ victory. An unbelievable three-pointer from just ahead of the half-court captivated everyone who was watching, except the Nets, of course.
“Mo***rf***ers be double teaming me before I even get to halfcourt,” Lillard exclaimed to his coaches after the game. We really have been seeing ‘Dame Time’ quite frequently inside the bubble.

However, only half the mission is complete, as the Blazers take on the Grizzlies in a play-in tournament to determine who will progress to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the NBA Western Conference Playoffs.
Will the Blazers advance with a comprehensive victory or are you backing the Grizzlies, who’ll be making their first playoff appearance since 2017, if they manage to win two-straight.
