LeBron James is a natural leader. He can inspire you with his speeches and leave you awe-struck with his game on the basketball court. Just like how people believe LeBron is the ‘chosen one’ in the NBA, he enjoys a similar status in Hollywood as well.

Michael Jordan starred in an animated basketball-themed movie called Space Jam. When the film released in 1996, it did not gain instant popularity. But since then, many people have watched, and it and they love the movie. When a sequel to it was on the cards, whom did they choose?

Obviously it had to be LeBron! King James is once again the chosen one in taking over from MJ as the lead in Space Jam. The crew has finished filming the sequel, which will likely hit theaters next year.

We managed to get some information on how LBJ crafted a monstrous routine during the filming of the movie. Moreover, TMZ Sports posted a valuable audio clip recently, of an event that took place on the sets of Space Jam.

LeBron James delivers a powerful speech to the entire crew of the Space Jam

The makers of the sequel were right to choose LeBron as the person to fill in the shoes left behind by Michael Jordan. Well, even MJ had no idea that LeBron would be the one starring if they ever made a sequel. He had other options in mind

However, after a tedious schedule and plenty of days where the crew worked with utmost dedication, they wrapped up shooting. To give them all a token of appreciation, LeBron James stepped up and delivered a strong and touching speech.

“I’m gonna be honest completely with you guys — when I found out about the project, I was like it’s ‘Space Jam’! It’s a movie that I grew up watching. People in the movie that I idolize. I was like absolutely, I gotta do it. There’s no way I can turn down ‘Space Jam’!

“I’m just a small kid from Akron, Ohio — a very small town outside of Cleveland. From a single-parent household, I’m the only child. My mother had absolutely nothing. She was walking around high school when she was 16 years old and she was pregnant with me as a high school sophomore. So I’m really not supposed to be here.

“Growing up in the inner city, as an African-American kid, there’s no way you’re supposed to f*cking make it out. And the fact that I’m who I am as an African-American adult now with 3 kids of my own, and I made it out of the situations that I was in. This sh*t is like extra credit for me, man.”

Whether or not you’re an NBA fan, this speech is bound to leave you impressed. LeBron James truly has all the qualities it takes to become a leader. Safe to say that the makers of the sequel would have been left inspired by LeBron’s speech, and that the movie will be of a quality befitting a King!
