There is a sense of optimism for the New York Knicks. After playing second fiddle to their cross-town rivals, Brooklyn Nets, they are back in the news. And for the right reasons this time.

They made some savvy selections at the 2020 NBA draft. To get the highly rated prospect, Obi Toppin is a lottery for them. Looking to model his game after Anthony Davis, Toppin is also a lifelong Knicks fan. Finally, they get someone good that’s actually willing to play for them.

Carrying this positivity into free agency and trade window, the Knicks can really build a solid team if they play their cards right. They have approximately $40 million in cap space, meaning room for a marquee player.
