The Phoenix Suns began their journey in the Orlando Bubble with the best record. Going 8-0, Suns’ Devin Booker had an incredible season, averaging 26.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds.

However, having failed to grab a seat in the 2019-2020 Playoffs after all their efforts, the Suns will be looking to rebuild their roster around their star, Booker. But it looks like he isn’t willing to stay.

From the get-go, the Phoenix Suns had placed their fate on Booker’s shoulder, hoping he would make them championship contenders.

Drafted with the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, he cemented himself as one of those up-and-coming players that needed to be looked out for.

Understanding Booker’s potential, the Suns signed a $158 million maximum contract extension for 5 years with Devin in July 2018. Right after this, the Suns landed the 15th spot in the Western Conference, holding an overall record 19-63.

Even though Booker, as a player, achieved tremendous success with the Suns, he would still want a championship in his resume. Therefore, he must weigh his options before it’s too late.

According to Ryen Russillo of ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast’, Booker wanting to leave the Suns is “the worst kept secret” in the NBA. But if Booker decides to leave, what are his options?

If Booker had a choice between the Suns and the Minnesota Timberwolves, he would pick the Wolves. The primary reason being, he would get to play alongside his close friends, Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell.

If the Wolves want him, this will be the biggest advantage for Booker tempting to go with them. The 3 of them would make a great ‘Big Three’.

We also have the New York Knicks, who have shown tremendous interest in the point guard. The Knicks desperately need a star that can support their current best player, Julius Randle. This would be a big move for Booker, he would have the chance of being the face of one of the most popular franchises.

It isn’t clear if the Suns are willing to part with Devin yet. He still has 4 years left in his contract, but he has to make a decision for his growth. What do you think is Booker’s next move?
