NBA Trade Rumors: Miami Heat Looking to Acquire LA Clippers’ Star Forward Montrezl Harrell

The Clippers are one team that has a lot to do this off-season. After their disappointing end against the Denver Nuggets in round two of the Western Conference Playoffs, they were heavily scrutinized. But most of the blame was put on their two key players, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and coach Doc Rivers. Although it looks like the Clippers are already on their way to rebuild. Coach Rivers just parted ways with the team earlier today, and it looks like Montrezl Harrell is next. The team looking to offer Harrell a deal is the Miami Heat.

A one-year deal for Clippers’ Montrezl Harrell?

Miami Heat is preparing to battle the dominant Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals. However, they are already looking to improve their team and be a tougher championship contender next year. Keeping that in mind, they have eyes on the Clippers power forward Montrezl Harrell.

Harell had a breakthrough regular season. He averaged 18.6 points and 7.1 rebounds and was even named the 2019-20 NBA Sixth Man of the Year. Nevertheless, Harrell could be a great asset for the Miami Heat alongside star Bam Adebayo. This underrated NBA player could be one of the most wanted free agents available in the market.

The Heat have shown keen interest in getting Milwaukee Bucks two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. Well, who hasn’t? According to Bleacher Report, “They will leave space for Giannis, but they could give [Harrell] a big one-year deal. They always figure it out.” 

The Heat will do nothing that hampers their chance of getting Giannis, but bringing in Harrell will fit perfectly into their plan.
