If the 23-YO Bam was to be believed, he would have surely played Game 3. But the medical staff did not clear him for that game. His neck injury needed some more time to heal, but Bam and the Heat had no time to wait. So the NBA second-team All-Defensive payer took the matters into his hands and insisted on the medical staff to test his fitness.
As per an NBA journalist, “Bam told me he‘d tried to convince the medical staff he could play in Game 3, but when they asked him to do a push-up…it didn’t go well. When they asked him again today – success.”

The desperation to play for his side and give it all in, somewhere down the line helped his quick healing. Fortunately for him, the medical team cleared him right on time.
Bam Adebayo… He came, he saw, he conquered!
In the first three quarters, Bam played for 25 minutes and scored 13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. He had a 71.4% accuracy from the field, and those figures helped the Heat big-time. Jay Crowder badly struggled to make any contribution as his precision was nowhere to be seen. He had a 16.7% accuracy from the downtown and that was very unlikely for him.

Before this series, Bam was scoring at an average of 17.8 points per game, and what we saw in the initial quarters of Game 4 was an equally lethal Bam. He is the Anthony Davis to Jimmy Butler, as the youngster brings in great defense and some impressive athleticism.
After Q3 end, the Lakers were leading 75-70 against the Heat.
