The Eastern Conference Finals Game 6 could decide the opponents for L.A. in the NBA Finals. The Boston Celtics will battle Miami to avoid going home in the crucial matchup.

While the Celtics won Game 5, they are still down 3-2 in the series. However, if the previous game is any indication, it’s that they won’t go down without a fight. The Miami Heat were completely outplayed when the teams last matched up and their defense in the second half was non-existent.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown scored at will in the third quarter, which ultimately became the deciding factor in the game. The Celtics outscored Miami by 16 points behind the duo’s performance.

But the question remains: Can they do it once again to push the series to seven games?

Boston Celtics injury updates and lineup prediction

Heading to Game 6, the Celtics need to be at their 100% if they want to win. Additionally, Tatum needs to become the primary option for the team to fulfill a leadership role down the stretch. Tatum scored 31 points in the Game 5 victory and head coach Brad Stevens will expect more of the same for the 22-year-old.

As far as injuries are concerned, Romeo Langford is the only player missing from the roster. He will miss the rest of the Playoffs because of a ligament injury in his right wrist. So the predicted lineup for the Celtics is Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart, and Daniel Theis.

Miami Heat injury updates and lineup prediction

The Miami Heat are the true dark horses of the 2020 NBA Playoffs. They weren’t even expected to make the Playoffs in the first place, but now are just one win away from a berth. However, they need to regroup after a blowout loss in Game 5.

There are no new additions to Heat’s injury report as Chris Silva will miss another game and Gabe Vincent is still listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. So the predicted lineup for the Heat is Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Goran Dragic, Jae Crowder, and Duncan Robinson.

The Heat are in a great position and can finish the Celtics in the very next game. But they need to make sure they don’t repeat Game 5’s mistakes. In the loss, the Heat struggled from the three-point line as they shot just 19.4% as a unit.

If the Heat can rectify this flaw, they should come victorious and prepare for the finals matchup against the Lakers.

What do you think? Will Boston live to fight another day? Or will the series wrap up in six games?
