Before taking the helm at Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler was labeled as a locker room cancer by his former teams. However, Jimmy proved everyone wrong and led his team to the NBA Finals.
Although the Heat lost, it will forever be remembered as a great run in the history books. What’s more, it put the narrative that Butler is not a proper teammate to bed for good.

Heat teammate Duncan Robinson shared a story about Butler following Game 2 of the NBA Finals in an interview with “The Association on FOX”.
“I was sitting in my room rewatching the game and he [Jimmy Butler] knocked on my door. He was like, ‘Yo, come on’ and I was like ‘No I don’t want to right now’…
“I was like pissed off and in a dark place basically. So, we just went to his room and it was him, myself and his trainer... It was nothing to do with finals really, it was nothing to do really with particularly Heat basketball…
“That’s like Jimmy in a nutshell. You know he’s gonna get on you probably more so in public places…it’s behind the scenes that he’ll put his arm around you and let you know that he actually cares about you.”
Jimmy is one of the most hardworking individuals in the entire league, and when he joined the Heat, he found the guys with the same mentality. If it weren’t for that, the Heat would not have gone as far as they did in the postseason.

Against a team that has two of the Top-5 players of the league in LeBron James and Anthony Davis, it is almost impossible to stop them, and much more so while playing on the back foot.
