Miami Heat won Game 3 of the NBA Finals, giving them a real chance to make a comeback in the series. Jimmy Butler‘s 40-point triple double was too much for the Lakers. But unfortunately, the Heat is still missing two of their best players.

Since Game 1, Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo have missed two straight games in the Finals. Also, while there is some hope for Bam to return, the chances are very slim for Dragic. The 34-year-old point guard tore the plantar fascia in his left foot and is still listed as doubtful for the crucial Game 4.

Dragic opened up on being unable to play for the Heat due to this untimely injury.

“It’s not the easiest thing for me right now to sit on the sideline and watch my team – how they’re battling, how they’re playing well – and of course I want to be out there. Most of the times I ask myself, I ask the guy above us why it has to happen right now. It’s tough. Try to look at this way: everything is with a purpose, so we’ll see.”

Dragic has been nothing but phenomenal in this postseason run for the Heat. He is contributing nearly 20 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists while maintaining 45.0% accuracy from the field. In fact, before the NBA Finals, Dragic was the top scorer for the Heat.

Losing him at this point in the postseason is a big blow for coach Erik Spoelstra’s team. But if Jimmy can continue his epic form, maybe the Heat can hold on for a little longer? Pull another rabbit out of the hat and make a comeback?

In Game 3, LeBron James and Anthony Davis were far away from their normal selves. AD struggled to score, while LBJ was forced to commit extra turnovers by the Heat defense.

All things considered, the Lakers are unlikely to commit such grave mistakes once again. But what do you think? Can the Miami Heat make a stunning comeback and tie the series 2 games apiece?
