The Miami Heat have fallen back for the second time after controlling the series from the front seat in these Playoffs. The Eastern Conference Finals lead against the Celtics has bent down to 2-1 after their Game 3 loss. Nonetheless, it was a big day for Heat shooting guard, Tyler Herro who surpassed Kobe Bryant in an intricate playoff stat record.
The Heat faced an embarrassing defeat last night after Celtics knocked them out, with approximately 50% shots from the field. Jaylen Brown was leading the charts with 26 points for Celtics. Jayson Tatum added to the scorecard with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists, just short of a triple-double.

The Heat struggled to get past Boston Celtics’ stunning show, but Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro saved face for their team. Adebayo recorded a double-double with 27 points and 16 rebounds. Tyler Herro came off guard for the Heat to contribute 22 points from off the bench. He had four assists and three rebounds to his name as well.

Herro extracted 16 points out of those 22 from the second quarter alone. The young rookie stole a record in between a messed up scenario for the Heat. He went a step ahead than Kobe Bryant to score the second-most points in a playoff quarter at age 20 or younger since 1997. Kobe had 17 points to his name in the last quarter against the Utah Jazz on May 8, 1997.
Tyler Herro had 16 points in the 2nd quarter.
That is the 2nd-most in a playoff quarter by a player at age 20 or younger since play-by-play began in 1997.

The 20-year-old is becoming the go-to man for Miami. He is showing impressive skills from the bench, thus a healthy sign for the team. Going a milestone ahead of Kobe Bryant is an achievement in itself, marking a big day for Tyler, who got drafted last summer.
This 117-106 loss to the Celtics will be a wake-up-call for Jimmy Butler and Co. They cannot afford to give away this big moment after a beautifully set NBA campaign.
