The Miami Heat beat the Boston Celtics 125-113 in Game 6 to clinch the Eastern Conference finals series. They are now to advance to the NBA Finals for only the sixth time in the franchise’s history. Ironically enough, it was LeBron James who led them to four of the six NBA Finals. Now, they will face him and his Lakers in the ultimate showdown.

Both Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers are 12-3 in their respective post-season run so far. It will be a great clash. However, earlier, most folks guessed Lakers vs Bucks or Clippers vs Bucks to be on the final card. However, JR Smith seemed to have different pairing in mind.

JR Smith is touted as ‘the walking meme’ of the internet. His poker face, telescopic eyes, and raw humor make him the love of social media. Back in February 2020, even before COVID-19 pulled the brakes on the regular season, JR made a crazy prediction. He was on a flight when he posted an Instagram story inviting people to ask him questions. When a follower asked him about the possible NBA Finals match-up, he replied, “Lakers an Miami call me crazy but [emoji]”

While JR Smith might get made fun of on social media for not playing too many games in the bubble, he is still the most jovial personality that the Lakers bench boasts. A real team player, he is often the first one up to celebrate great play.

 The Miami Heat outperformed every Eastern Conference team that in their way towards the finals. They blew the Indiana Pacers off and then defeated the top-seed bucks in a very dominant way. And now, the side got the better of a very strong Boston Celtics. 

Bam Adebayo has impressed the critics even more than Jimmy Butler in this series. In Game 6, he scored 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists. Bam became the 4th player in Heat history with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in a post-season game, joining the likes of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Shaquille O’Neal. It will be incredible to watch this side face a strong defensive unit in the Lakers, where Anthony Davis waits to show his NBA Finals MVP caliber.
