LA Lakers star duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis are on a mission. After helping the Lakers reach their first Conference Finals since the days of Kobe Bryant, the pair are focused on the challenges ahead. They either face bitter rivals LA Clippers or underdog threats Denver Nuggets in the Finals.

However, now that we have some time before we know what the future holds, let’s look at what AD and Bron have already achieved. The pair are blitzing through teammate playoff records. After the culmination of game five, both men had set some impressive stats together.

The first became the first pair of teammates since 1961 to average 25 points and 10 rebounds across a playoff series, something they achieved against the Rockets. However, they also played five games against Portland in the first round. This has enabled the pair to average 25 points and 10 rebounds throughout the playoff run, something we haven’t since 1959.

Are Lakers’ LeBron James and Anthony Davis unstoppable?

LeBron and AD are special together. James has never had an elite big-man like AD as a running mate, and their dominance is showing in the playoffs. They have lost just two games in the post-season and are still one of the favorites to win the title.

The pair are also the first teammates since Elgin Baylor and Jerry West to combine for 500+ points, 200+ rebounds, and 100+ assists in their first 10 playoff games. This reflects both men having averages of 25-10-5, but LeBron has carried a bigger load on the assists and AD has done the same on scoring.

LeBron is averaging a near triple-double in the playoffs with 26.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 9 assists. AD is averaging 29.2 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. These are phenomenal numbers, but also warranted considering the load the duo takes on for their team. Can this dominance continue all the way to the 2020 NBA Championship? Looks like it could.
