Never forget your roots, they say. Los Angeles Lakers President Jeanie Buss seems to base her life on this quote. She is one such influential personality who wisely ensures that every stakeholder of the franchise remains satisfied.
The 59-YO sports executive keeps mentioning former franchise players and coaches on her social media handles. Now that her team has crossed all the hurdles to reach the NBA Finals after 10 years, it was obvious for her to reach out and appreciate the ones that helped this campaign.
A heartwarming note for a Lakers legend!

Just as Game 5 ended, Magic Johnson turned to Twitter to congratulate LeBron James for his amazing triple-double. The 61-YO also congratulated the team General Manager Rob Pelinka, head coach Frank Vogel, the players, and the entire staff. After this wonderful gesture, Jeanie Buss could not stop herself from writing a small yet sweet note for E.J. the Deejay.
She wrote, “Magic – you got us back on track and laid down the path to get us here – Western Conference Champions!! We couldn’t have done it without you. Still more work to do!! [Smileys]” Apparently, Magic Johnson put a lot of efforts to sign LeBron James to the Lakers back in 2018 when he was the general manager. The hard work has now come to fruition.

This can be in response to the tweet wherein Magic had said, “When LeBron James signed with the @Lakers he told us he would get us back to the NBA Finals and he’s definitely kept his word.”
Magic Johnson won five rings for the Lost Angeles Lakers in the era of the 1980s. He was one of those very rare players who would assist in double-figure in almost every game. Even after retiring, he kept himself involved with the Lakers organization one way or the other. A true Laker!

LeBron James and Anthony Davis overwhelmed with high praise!
Jeanie Buss is not as active on Twitter as is Magic Johnson. One of her latest posts had her praising legendary coach Phil Jackson. On the other hand, Rawal went crazy after Lakers’ win. He even raised questions on Bron not being awarded the MVP award.
You can’t tell me that LeBron James is not the MVP of the league with a 38-16-10 performance tonight to lead the @Lakers to the NBA Finals!

Earlier, Magic had posted a picture of him posing with Jeanie when they crossed each other during a documentary shoot at the Lakers’ facility. Magic also praised the Nuggets for a phenomenal season, which came to an abrupt end. The Lakers remained dominant throughout the series. It now looks more probable than ever that we will soon witness The Akron Hammer with his fourth ring.
