LeBron James and the team wore the beautiful “Black Mamba” jerseys on 8/24, to honor their fallen legend. In their 115-135 hammering of the Trail Blazers, the Lakers created history, which might boost their confidence ahead of what’s coming. 

With this win, the Lakers now have a breezy lead of 3-1 in the first-round series. They looked to dominate right from and first half and succeed in their approach. Frank Vogel’s team outscored Portland 43-25 in the first quarter, which set the tone for the rest of the game. 

As they continued on their scoring run, they ended up posting a twenty-point victory against the Blazers. The Lakers posted 135 points in the game, which is also the highest they have scored in a playoff game since 1987.

The most the Lakers have ever scored in an NBA playoff game is 153 points, according to StatMuse.The purple and gold achieved this record in the 1985 western conference finals against the Denver Nuggets. Magic Johnson recorded a whopping 19.0 assists in the game. 

Moreover, with their Game 4 victory against the Blazers, they have set a franchise record. The Lakers made a total of 17 three-pointers in the game, which is now a playoff record for the team. LeBron and team beat their own record, which they set in Game 2 by making 14 shots from long range.
