In these tough times, keeping in touch with friends and family is important. The Los Angeles Lakers seem to realize this well and hence keep tabs on each other via group chats. Well, the group chat isn’t all work and no play, as the team’s recent IG Live proved.

The NBA’s second most valuable franchise, the Los Angeles Lakers, recently had Jared Dudley join their Instagram Live.

The 34-year-old Laker recalled a recent incident from the Lakers’ group chat. To get something going on in the group chat, Dudley asked all the participants in the chat to send their best dunk video. He started off with his own. What happened next was really amusing. Dudley recalled,

“Cousins started sending videos of every Laker player he dunked on. Myself, Danny Green. I think AD was involved, JaVale was another. Cousins was bored.”

Further, the Lakers’ power forward chimed in about how the team always keeps in contact and how he feels about it. He said,

“Theres always something that’s going on. It’s information it’s checking on. To be honest with you, I’ve been on I think five or six NBA teams. By far, its (Lakers) the most vocal, communicating type of team I have and I love it man, love it.”

Earlier last month, Lakers’ power forward Kyle Kuzma noted how the team is keeping in touch in these times of isolation. He revealed how all the players had fun in the team’s group chat,

Every day, someone puts something funny in it,” Kuzma revealed. “Who’s the funniest? I mean, everyone has their days. I feel like that’s part of our team. On the basketball court, everyone has their night, and I think, group chat wise, everyone has their days. Some days, (Le)Bron’s just going crazy in there, Dudz (Dudley) is going crazy in there, JaVale, it’s a revolving door.”

The Los Angeles Lakers’ bond with one another seems to have helped fuel their success on the court this year. If the 2019-20 season does return, the team would require its tight-knit relationship intact. The maintenance of their chemistry is of utmost importance, in the near as well as farther future.
