The months of waiting for NBA action are over. The first day of the official NBA return had two games that went down to the final play. In the first game, the Utah Jazz edged out the New Orleans Pelicans by two points. In the second game, the Los Angeles Lakers beat their rivals the Clippers, surprisingly also by two points. With no fans allowed, players from other teams came to watch, and LeBron James loved it.
During the post-game interview, LeBron was asked how he felt about his peers coming to watch the game. He replied, “I think it’s respect. We’re all a brotherhood. Definitely having CP and Melo… Looking over and seeing some of our guys in the league, CJ (McCollum) from around my block, Dame (Lillard), a lot of other guys. I think it’s just pretty cool.”

LeBron James says he would love to watch some games, too
James later mentioned that he would be hoping to make it to some games himself. He said, “I hope throughout the course of this time we’re here in this bubble I can make it to a few games too. Just out of love of the game. I love getting the opportunity to watch the game live, and you don’t have that much time throughout the course of regular NBA scheduling. It’s a pretty good dynamic. Like I said, it’s a big AAU feeling for grown men.”
Despite not having fans present physically, the NBA has got virtual fans. Though it doesn’t compare to the feeling of sitting live in the arena, it’s the best that can be done. Among this virtual crowd yesterday was two-time champion and LeBron’s former teammate, Chris Bosh.

Next up is another tough encounter for the Lakers. Tomorrow at 5:30 pm, they go against defending champions Toronto Raptors. The Lakers will have to be at their best to win once more. The Raptors had a poor run in the scrimmages, so they will be in coming into this game with extra vigor. Along with Anthony Davis, LeBron will have to step up yet again and see the Lakers through.
