The Los Angeles Lakers had a rather desperate and busy 2020 off-season. They tried everything in their will and in their salary cap’s allowance to turn their dynamic duo into a terrifying trio. For this, the greatest move they pulled was the signing of Montrezl Harrell from arch-rivals Clippers.
Jeanie Buss’s organization attracted and tethered Montrezl for a 2-year $19 million deal as perhaps a dark horse. The critics backed the decision, and it all seemed a win-win for both parties. Now LeBron James has posted something to show his excitement about having the new talent in his champion team.

Lakers’ LeBron James put some respect on Montrezl Harrell’s name
In a recent Instagram story, King James surprised everyone when he shared a picture of Trezz (in Clippers jersey). He clearly tried to showcase how he is eagerly waiting to play alongside the Sixth Man of the Year 2020. This can be seen as a welcoming move ahead of the preseason restart where it’ll be key to the franchise if their new roster gels up real quick and real thick. Take a look at the story-

Up until now, Monsta Trezz and Bron have played just 8 regular games against one another and hold a 4-4 record. In all of these games, The Akron Hammer had averaged a double-double with 25+ points and 10 boards against Trezz’s close to 15 ppg. Now when they’re all set to play together, those figures are only going to add up for an already big Lakers who are in need of a trustworthy center.
What helped Montrezl sign and why is he crucial?

Both Anthony Davis as well as LeBron James share the same agent, Klutch Sports’ Rich Paul. This remained one catalyst in making the deal come to fruition for the Lakers. Montrezl Harrell is a quick leaper and a small-ball 5 that can complement the star duo by lifting off some weight for them.
He is also someone who has only kept getting better at his craft. His career graph has only gone up and wild as of now. The man has double his highest average of 9.1 ppg with the Rockets to reach the average of 18.6 while playing for the Clippers in 2019-20. He is not a three-point shooter and has started in only 2 games in the past season. It will be interesting to see where will Frank Vogel place him in order to gain maximum advantage.
