LeBron James is heading into one of the most anticipated playoff runs of his illustrious career. He will enter the playoffs with the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time and will look to be triumphant. His team is the favorite, especially because they have a superstar as LeBron’s running mate, namely Anthony Davis.
Pundits have wondered aloud how helpful this break has been for ‘Bron. Even at 35, he is playing intense basketball. He didn’t miss a game, had a heavy load of minutes, and is still in the MVP conversation with Giannis Antetokounmpo. He has led the Lakers to the number one seed. As an added bonus, five months of rest will allow ‘Bron to unleash himself again. Considering it is for a shortened season, we can expect LeBron to mow down the opposition.
His Lakers play their first game since a loss to the Brooklyn Nets in March today. It will come against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Even though it is just a scrimmage, ‘Bron himself has said it means much more to him on his Instagram.

‘Bron has made a career in the post-season. He has been to 8 consecutive NBA Finals from 2011 to 2018, winning three titles along the way. He is one of the few players to have won Finals MVP on two teams and will look to become the first to do so with three teams. LeBron is the leader in playoff scoring by over a thousand points ahead of Michael Jordan in number two.

James is also number one in win shares (51), way ahead of second-placed MJ (29.8). However, he has fallen short in the Finals a number of times. He has been swept twice, once by the San Antonio Spurs in 2007 and then by the Golden State Warriors in 2018. Individually, he has shined in more than just the aforementioned ways. James is the only player in NBA history to be in the top 5 all-time in career playoff points, assists, and steals. He is also second in total defensive rebounds.
Even though he is playing a scrimmage game and will have to play 8 regular-season games, LeBron James is locked in and ready to unleash playoff mode once again.
