Los Angeles Clippers’ Players Unhappy With Doc Rivers’ Preferential Treatment of Paul George: REPORTS

When the 2019-20 season began, the Los Angeles Clippers were favorites to win it all. However, when it came to the Playoffs, the Clippers crumbled in just the second round. Moreover, both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George put forth an awful performance in the series decider Game 7.

In fact, they couldn’t even score a single point in the fourth quarter! That led to the Denver Nuggets advancing to the WCF. They overcame the highly rated, Clippers team and a 3-1 deficit.

However, what’s done is done, and the Clippers have to focus on coming back strong next season. Paul George tried this approach after the Game 7 defeat, but it was met by several eye rolls.

Now, according to NBA analyst Chris Broussard, things are going from bad to worse for the Clippers.

“I’ve been told some of the Clippers role players actually think they’re as good as Paul George. They’re having problems with the special treatment he’s gotten from Doc Rivers. They can handle Kawhi getting special treatment because for the most part he delivered.”

There are no doubts that PG13 was highly inconsistent in this year’s playoff run. In all honesty, George can be blamed for the majority of problems that the Clippers faced. He was supposed to be the second superstar along with Kawhi this year.

On the contrary, George struggled big time and looked like a shell of himself. Considering the fact that the Clippers gave up their entire future for acquiring George, he should have performed better.

What’s next for the Los Angeles Clippers?

The only thing that the Clippers can focus on right now is making a come back next year. Moreover, they need to play like a single unit during the crucial games. Their chemistry on the floor was one of the reasons behind their failure to hold a 3-1 lead in the WCSF.

But will they manage to put this poor season behind themselves? Or will the Clippers continue to struggle in the Playoffs once again?
