Lakers’ legend Kobe Bryant is remembered in the hearts of the NBA world to date. On the occasion of his 42nd birthday, Lakers beat Blazers last night to take the series lead forward to 3-1. It was a complete win for them and a combined team effort.
LeBron James and Co. thrashed the Blazers in playoff Game 4 with a 135-115 victory. The team took the front stage from the very beginning. LeBron knocked some comfortable numbers recording 30 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. He owned the first crucial segment of the game that took Lakers’ lead to around 30 points at some stage.
Jusuf Nurkic was the sole warrior for the Blazers who scored 20 points and 13 rebounds. But in Damian Lillard‘s absence, Jusuf also couldn’t take the team that far. Blazers were out of gas in most part of the game without their star player.

Lakers’ coach, Frank Vogel believes how Kobe’s Day was a driving force of inspiration for the team’s big win. The team made it to the finish line in Mamba style. It could be the best gift for Kobe on his birthday.
“It’s an emotional day, obviously. And it’s interesting the first time we took the court it was against this team after Kobe passed and Gigi passed. We lost that game.
“I think our guys probably carried around a little bit more affordance from that, just wanted to make sure that we performed at a high level. And we were able to just do it. Everybody on the team did their job tonight.”

Well, yes everybody did do their job on the court. Even though Anthony Davis was out with a back problem, bench players; Kyle Kuzma and Alex Caruso took the game forward in a smooth manner.
It’s a disappointing day for Damian Lillard and his team. We are yet to find out if Lillard will be back and Blazers will be surely hoping for his healthy return. The Lakers have the opportunity to close the series in the next match itself. If any negative news of Lillard comes forward, that could pose a major problem for the Blazers in Game 5.
