The Denver Nuggets put up a breathtaking show back in Orlando, against the star-studded Lakers in the Western Conference Finals Game 3. They cut short the purple-gold lead to 2-1 in the series with a single game deficit. Jamal Murray built a top-notch game for his team and they wrestled their way to a 114-106 crucial victory.
The Nuggets did a wonderful job on both ends, offensively and defensively. It was a complete showdown for the Lakers as Jerami Grant managed 26 points and contributed to a number of defensive plays for the Nuggets. Jamal Murray led the scorecard with 28 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds, only 2 rebounds shy of a triple-double.
The game accelerated from the Nuggets’ end specifically in the third quarter with a huge 20-point lead. Gradually, as the last quarter set in, Lakers’ veteran guard Rajon Rondo tried to save the day for the Lakers. He set up some mind-baffling steals one after the other and reduced the score gap to single digits.

Murray’s clutch abilities snatched the victory from under the Lakers’ feet, and even LeBron James couldn’t reverse the scenario. It was a tough and embarrassing night for Lakers’ rebounders Anthony Davis, JaVale McGee, and Dwight Howard, who managed to count only four rebounds collectively.
Nuggets are looking to recreate an insane series comeback against the Lakers
Fans have seen the Nuggets get back from 3-1 down to win the series against the Clippers, upsetting them to the point that they got busted from the league. Does this situation with the Lakers look similar?
Lakers’ legend, Shaquille O’Neal recognized the Nuggets’ capacity and warned everybody to not take them for granted. He clearly stated the uncertainty of the series from here on, given the way the Nuggets have been playing. “Listen, you should know, the world should know, everybody should know, Denver’s not goin’ nowhere unless you put them away. Them being down 0-2, 0-3 doesn’t matter to them. Now we have a series, we don’t know what’s gonna happen from here,” Shaq said.

The Nuggets have proved their worth so far, but beating the Lakers will be a different ball game altogether. If Murray keeps getting those buckets from far deep and Nikola Jokic tips in assists as always, could the Nuggets defeat the season favorites Lakers?
