LeBron James, one of the greatest in NBA, has chosen his second favorite player of All-time. While most would be thinking of the big shots of basketball, instead it’s Penny Hardaway who is in LeBron’s list of favorites. Players like Shaquille O’Neal and many others believed this man could have had an exuberant career. But the ‘ifs’ are always troubling the future of a sportsman. Penny’s injuries came as unfortunate barriers in his escalating years in the NBA.

Orlando Magic’s star began his 14-season career at the shooting guard position. Later under learnings from his Magic coach, Scott Skiles, he became the greatest point guard of all time. Hardaway experienced the NBA days from 1993 to 2007, became a 4-time NBA All-Star, and twice became a member of the NBA All-Star First team.

As part of Orlando Magic, Penny played alongside the former legend, Shaquille O’Neal. The latter also appreciated Hardaway for his skills multiple times. It’s sad that such players couldn’t make their career as starry as other NBA legends. It was his injuries that kept him from achieving heights as a player.

Imagine if Penny Hardaway didn’t go through those injuries. LeBron could probably have had an opportunity to play with him, who knows!
