The Lakers duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis have done wonders for the franchise. After being out of the playoffs for six straight years, the organization is back on track. The purple and gold are just two wins away from winning championship #17.

However, a year back, when the Lakers acquired Anthony Davis by trading two former #2 picks in Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, many were skeptical about the decision. Moreover, the Lakers decided to keep Kyle Kuzma over those two young prospects.

I could have been at home enjoying myself right now. That’s the biggest thing for us, to be here obviously. Like you said, big trades, having AD come here, and decide to put me in the mix to try to win a championship and be a part of a championship team, you know, I’m just very thankful for it.”

Kuz’s recent performances have raised a question over his future with the team in the upcoming season.

Kuzma is averaging just 10.1 points in the playoffs, which is even lower than his regular-season stats. Moreover, in the postseason, Kuzma’s awareness on the floor has been awful against the opposing players.

Kyle has constantly fallen for pump fakes and taken bad shots during the entire playoffs. In a nutshell, he has failed to live up to the hype, which once gained him comparisons with Celtics star Jayson Tatum.

While Tatum has bloomed into a superstar for the Celtics, Kuz is still struggling to find his groove with the team. Honestly, he could be on the trading block in the upcoming season to sign a better role player.

What do you think about Kuzma’s performances in the playoffs? Should the Lakers let go of him or not?
