The Los Angeles Lakers started their 2020 NBA Playoff campaign with a defeat. However, they bounced back to level the series 1-1 with a convincing win against the Trail Blazers. Once again, Anthony Davis was outstanding on the night for the purple and the gold. The 27-year-old would have definitely been motivated after the Game 1 loss, but how much of it came from LeBron James?
The Lakers succumbed to defeat in Game 1 and fans were left stunned. Owing to the Blazers’ hot run of form, many even predicted them to sweep LBJ and his team. But it’s not that easy, is it?
Anthony Davis revealed how LeBron came up to him and helped in motivating him after the loss. “I was really down on myself after Game 1,” Davis said. “I didn’t feel like I performed at the level I needed to. He [LeBron] let me have my moment.”

“He talked to me and said I was fine,” Davis continued. “As a guy who won multiple championships, and been in these situations before, he knows what to expect. He knows what to expect from his teammates and he was just there for me to encourage me and keep me level-headed, because it was just one game.”
Anthony Davis and LeBron James compliment each other so well
The Los Angeles Lakers have made the Playoffs for the first time since 2013. Moreover, they signed Anthony Davis ahead of the 2019-20 NBA season through a mega trade deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Ever since his arrival, AD has naturally gelled together with LeBron. He’s now one among the best players in the league, and King James has helped him learn a lot since coming to Los Angeles. “Our relationship has been great the entire season,” Davis said, in his post-match press conference.

“I kinda just been leaning on him this entire season, just trying to figure out the tricks and trades of playing with a guy like him. The on-court chemistry has clicked from day one,” Davis continued. “On-court, I’ve never played with a guy of this caliber.”
Besides mentioning LeBron’s excellence, the former Pelicans star hilariously cracked up everyone with his spontaneous humor. “He’s seen it all in these 25 years that he’s been playing,” Davis joked. But he did conclude by saying LeBron “guided” him through this entire process.
