The NBA has been under suspension since March 11. It has been more than two months since they played the last game, and everyone, including the fans and the players, are yearning to get back into action. However, there has been no definite news reported on the resumption of the league so far.

Many games will be let-off, owing to the indefinite hiatus. No one really knows what the league has in mind with respect to resuming the season. It seems illogical to take current team standings and move forward into the postseason. But no one really knows when the league will be back. All of it entirely depends on the pandemic crisis declining.

There have been rumors about the NBA charting out its plan to resume the season by July or by late June. However, none of them seem to be the final solution. Unless Adam Silver delivers a statement, every other plan will be hypothetical.

The former Lob City star addressed the issue of resuming the league while the virus still looms large. “I would say we have a fair amount of say given the health concern. For anyone, commissioner, front offices, coaches, players for anyone to like say we are going to play games, we are accepting a level of risk to exposure. And that is a health concern not just for us, but for all the people around us, whoever that may be.”

He mentioned that the players are definitely a part of the discussion. The league involves the players while making the crucial decision of when to bring back the league. “I think we absolutely are a part of the conversation and there is this committee of guys who are trying to figure out a return to play for players. There is a committee in which the GMs are trying to figure out and I know the league has their own little thing going on.”

However, the 35-year-old didn’t hide the fact that no one really saw this coming. “It’s unprecedented though,” Redick said about the coronavirus. “If there is a way we can safely play, we have to. We have to play for so many reasons,” he expressed.
