Miami Heat guard/forward Jimmy Butler has shown quite the entrepreneurial spirit inside the NBA bubble. As the Heat look to make a deep playoff run, Butler is keeping them energized. This is being done by Butler’s French Press coffee maker. However, there is a major catch to Butler’s system.
Butler revealed to Rachel Nichols that he has been charging teammates $20 for a cup of coffee. “I’m working on my coffee skills. After my career, I’m opening my coffee shop. Right now, I’m charging 20 bucks a cup. So if you want some, come through,” Jimmy said.
Butler went on to say that he is planning on raising the price by $10 because everyone in the bubble can afford it. There is no other place for them to get their caffeine fix, so this is working out well for Jimmy.

People wondered if Jimmy was actually charging people for coffee or joking. His Heat teammate, Meyers Leonard confirmed this by putting up a picture of a board on Twitter (now deleted) which detailed Butler’s operation. There are no I.O.U.’s allowed and every size is the same price for $20.
So apparently Jimmy Butler wasn't kidding about the up-charge for the use of his French Press at Disney. (From Meyers Leonard's Twitter): pic.twitter.com/1s1em6flRG

Butler told Nichols that he plans on guiding the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals. While people would have scoffed at that notion at the start of the season, the Heat have now developed a reputation as giant slayers. They have beaten teams like the Bucks and Lakers, who are the top seeds in each conference. They will face a depleted Indiana Pacers in the first-round matchup and are expected to make it out of that series despite Indiana’s strong play in the bubble.
Whether Miami can feasibly make a run to the Finals remains to be seen. They will most likely meet the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round if Milwaukee beat Orlando Magic. The odds of the Bucks losing that series are slim, so Miami will have to start planning soon. Miami had one of the best records against the Bucks in the regular season, beating them twice this year. This team has surprised everyone this year, and there is no reason to believe that the surprise won’t continue till the end. After all, they have Butler’s coffee powering them through.
