LeBron James on reuniting with the team after a huge gap
The coronavirus pandemic put a long halt on the world. As far as the NBA is concerned, the season would have been long done if there was no pandemic. However, we are in July right now and the season will restart by the end of this month.
All the invited teams have landed in the bubble and have commenced training. It would surely feel a bit strange to get back as a team after a long time away. When asked about this, LeBron responded with a simple statement. “It’s like we never left,” he said, in a video posted by ESPN.
The Lakers star highlighted the strong bond in the team by revealing that they had no issues reconnecting with each other. “We picked up right where we left off. It is almost like you have AAU” (Amateur Athletic Union). LeBron explained how the AAU season works where all the players leave home after the season ends and get back together on the same page when it resumes the next year.
“We [Lakers] got back together, I feel like we’ve been together for years, even though this is our first year together,” LeBron continued. “But it feels like we’ve together for years and I’m just happy to see all my brothers and doing what we love to do best.”
