It was surprising to see when a Twitter post claimed Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is unhappy with his team and wants to join LeBron James at Los Angeles Lakers.

Lillard has been a part of the Trail Blazers team since his first season in NBA in 2012. While it is highly unlikely that Lillard will force a move out of the team now, a tweet suggesting otherwise on Tuesday gained some attention.

The tweet from “Lakers UK” suggested that Lillard was keen to play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis at the Lakers.

However, not long after the tweet came out, Lillard came out to tweet his intentions, trashing the reports as a Fool’s day prank.

Damian Lillard isn’t running behind anybody to know when the NBA will resume

While Lillard isn’t moving anywhere in the near future, he will have to wait before getting on the court as well. With the NBA suspended, Lillard is just waiting for it to come back.

“I feel like I wake up every day and I’m just kind of like, ‘What should I be doing?'” Lillard said on Tuesday as per NBA.com. “I wake up like ‘What should I be doing? What’s the next thing? Should we be prepared to play?’ So I’m just trying to like, stay on edge and ready to come back whenever they call us back.”

Although Lillard is eager for the league to come back, he or his agents aren’t going behind people asking them for information on the league’s return.

“I haven’t heard anything,” Lillard said. “I’ve honestly been sitting around, trying to stay active, doing stuff to try and stay in shape and sitting in the house and just waiting. I haven’t been seeking out extra information and trying to figure out all that stuff. Like I said, it’s more concerning to me the people who are out of work and trying to keep they heads above water. I think about that stuff. And the NBA stuff, when they let us know, they let us know. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.”
