The 25-year-old NBA star is on everybody’s wish list. Yes, I am talking about Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo who is also known as the ‘Greek Freak’ for when he displays his beast modes on the court. There is a lot of speculation making rounds about him leaving the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. What’s more interesting is Miami Heat always showcased a lot of interest in grabbing ahold of him. However, another team has been added to the list that wants Giannis with them. This team is none other than our previous NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors.

Can the Raptors land the reigning MVP?

It has been previously cited that Giannis has been fed up with the Bucks’ playoff history for a while now. It is assumed that if the Bucks don’t win the championship this season, he will be all set to pack his bags and leave. While most people also thought that he will stay loyal to the team, this has become less and less likely. The Bucks are currently losing 2-0 to Miami Heat in the second round of the playoff series.

On that thought, their current rival Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors have always shown an interest in Giannis, but now the Raptors can be their contenders as well. The Raps are filled with young talents like Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, and an all-star point guard, Kyle Lowry. They currently hold a 53-19 record and could be a great fit for Giannis as well.

According to Yahoo Sports, “It’s no wonder many in league circles believe Miami and Toronto are the frontrunners in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, with one observer telling Yahoo Sports “it’s an open secret” within the Orlando bubble.”

What is Giannis Antetokounmpo going to decide on?

Whether or not he leaves the Bucks is another fact altogether, but if he does then whom will side with? The Golden State Warriors were first in line but with the worst record this season, the Heat and Raptors have become more favorable options for the Defensive Player of the Year.

Giannis leaving will be shattering for the Bucks. It will lead to major setbacks for the team and crush all the progress they’ve made so far. Though, it is time that Giannis thinks about where he is more destined to grow as a player.
