Michael Jordan is a legend. He is considered the greatest player to play in the NBA. The six-time NBA champion and a five-time MVP is the most fierce competitors on the court. Jordan doesn’t joke around when he has the ball in his hands.
But outside the court, he is a guy who likes to laugh a lot and crack jokes. Jordan and fellow NBA veteran Charles Barkley appeared on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ in 2005, where they both went against each other in the most fun way.

It was the year 2005 and Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley were both guests on an episode of Oprah’s talk show. Though Jordan and Barkley never played alongside each other during their career, the duo were full of chemistry when it came to cracking jokes on each other.
Jordan said Barkley didn’t have what it takes to be a winner, to which the audience reacted with a loud jeer. Oprah’s face cracked and Barkley said, “You had to go and do that, didn’t you?” Jordan replied, “Did I say anything wrong? Did I say anything bad?”
Looking at their faces, you can just tell that it was pure banter and nothing was meant from the heart.
Barkley gave Jordan a taste of his own medicine a few moments later, when the former NBA MVP said:
“He’s an intimidating person,” looking at Jordan. “Everybody comes and kisses his b*** and tell him he’s handsome. He’s not handsome, he’s just rich.”

“If I had Scottie Pippen as my teammate, I would’ve gone and won them too, added Barkley. Jordan then asked, “So you didn’t like your teammates?”
Later, on a serious note, Barkley admitted that he loves Jordan. He reminisced about the time they met for the first time during the 1984 Olympic trails. The entire Oprah episode is a gem to behold for basketball fans.
