Denver Nuggets’ Jamal Murray enjoyed a breakout 2020 NBA season. He elevated his game to the next level, especially in the Orlando Bubble. If it weren’t for Murray, the Nuggets might have packed their bags in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The 23-year-old recently shared his experience of meeting with Michael Jordan for the only time in his life.
Murray appeared in an interview with sports reporter Ashley Nevel, who asked him whether ever met a star for only one time?. Murray subsequently went on to reveal his encounter with NBA legend Michael Jordan.
“I met him at the Durham Classic… I was shaking… Nah, I shook his hand, he was talking to us… When you know somebody from afar and you know certain things about him and it’s crazy how the media can portray a picture of you before you can even meet the person.

“I got to meet and I was like geez, it’s so much different than how I thought. His eyes are so dark and you can see the competitiveness in them… It’s the first time I have been starstruck like that.”

While Murray had a phenomenal playoff run, where he averaged 26.5 points per game, the Nuggets were eliminated in the WCF. However, their playoff run will go down in the NBA history books as they overcame a 3-1 deficit twice in the Playoffs!
They have established themselves as legit contenders in the tough Western Conference after this terrific postseason run. Moreover, both their stars in Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic are just getting started in the league.
