The expectations from the games in the Orlando Bubble are surely being met. This goes for the match Tuesday night when the Portland Trail Blazers played with the Houston Rockets. The final few minutes were the most crucial in this game that eventually led the Blazers to win by 110-102. One of the star players of the Portland Trail Blazers is ‘Hall of Famer’ Carmelo Anthony.
About 2 years ago, Max Kellerman spewed some bitter comments about Carmelo’s potential as an NBA player which has come to question him after all these years after the Blazers win against the Rocket’s.

On May 1, 2018, Max Kellerman was asked,” What is Carmelo Anthony right now?” To which his reply was “Washed!“. He even questioned a lot of his skills and said,” What does he do?”. After a lot of proving himself, many people wanted Max to apologize for his statements earlier.
Kendrick Perkins tweeted,” Aye!..” tagging Max, ” I think it’s about time you gave Carmelo Anthony the apology he deserves! When will you learn.” Along with reposting the video fo Max bashing Carmelo.

Now, in an interview on ESPN’s ‘First Take’, he is asked to make that apology but his response was not very pleasing. He says,” Absolutely not. I do not owe Carmelo Anthony an apology and people need to stop with this foolishness. I tell the truth as I see it. Carmelo Anthony thought he still was a superstar when he was no longer, his ego took hits… If you needed a bucket in iso, could he get you a bucket? Yes, he could. So I mentioned, he’s like a 15-minute player of someone’s bench…”
However, he does admit that those who believed in Carmelo, he has proved them right and proven him wrong. He accepts that he is still a valuable contributor to an NBA team and is willing to adjust his opinion on the new evidence that Carmelo has provided of his potential.
But he refuses to apologize to his former statement. “What I will say is that Carmelo proved my prediction about him wrong. I certainly don’t owe him an apology” said Kellerman.
The former Cleveland Cavaliers player, Richard Jefferson called out Max for calling Carmelo ‘Washed’. To which he willingly apologized and said,” If I ever said he’s ‘washed’, for that I apologize because he’s not washed.” This apology was not considered very genuine by the audience but definitely clears out some air between Kellerman and Carmelo.
CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic show their support
The current teammates of Carmelo Anthony showed their support for him on Twitter. CJ McCollum wrote,” whatever they say you said. You said that sh***”.
It was a struggle in the beginning, but @maxkellerman has finally apologized to Carmelo Anthony!
