Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will be put under the scanner all season. While Luka had a historically great rookie campaign, nobody imagined he would ascend to MVP level by his second season. He is going to dominate the league for a long time. However, the main question is whether he will facilitate winning.
One step to winning is getting players, and there is no better complementary player one could get than Buddy Hield. Hield is dissatisfied with his current team (Sacramento Kings) and may be on the trade block. ‘Scoop B’ Robinson of Heavy.com spoke to ESPN Analyst Kendrick Perkins about Hield possibly joining Luka, and this is what KP had to say.

“Because he knows how special he is. He sees a lot of himself in Luka and just watching him and thinking of Buddy Hield, a guy that you better not leave open and now you possibly have to help?
“That’s going to leave wonders, and Buddy Hield can get away from all that nonsense that’s going on in Sacramento and get to a real run organization by Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks.

He added. “Absolutely. Buddy is a dangerous combination with Luka. This is gonna be dangerous. A guy that WANTS to get players involved.”
Luka Doncic and Buddy Hield?
While Luka Doncic already has a solid team around him, Hield would make it that much stronger. The former three-point contest champion has had a falling out with Kings coach Luke Walton. As a result, he wants out of the perennially middling franchise. Considering they drafted Tyrese Haliburton, they seem to have guard play outside Hield.

Mavs have shown a want to slowly build their championship core rather than rushing into it. However, you need to jump on an opportunity like this. If Hield is available, Dallas should trade for him. The shots Hield can make will be that much easier when Luka is the one facilitating for him in that Mavs offensive system.
