The sports media generally knows only as much as the players and franchises willingly project. But there remain certain behind the closed curtains talks that never come out. Warriors’ experienced point guard Steph Curry has been there and seen that. So he knows when to pay heed to the rumors and when not to.

In the past two weeks, innumerable articles came out suggesting James Harden’s willingness to leave the Rockets. Many others suggested he is desperate about moving to the Brooklyn Nets. However, nothing substantial took shape about these rumors.

In an interview where Curry talked about his off-season and the upcoming one, the 32-YO also gave his views on Harden’s trade issue. He expressed, “Some of the stuff you kind of laugh at. Some of the stuff is just a part of the business, but until anything happens in this league, you kinda just brush it off. It’s part of the nature of the business.”

This was Steph’s NBA wisdom talking, and he knows well enough that anything can happen in the coming days. The Beard has missed the team workouts as he did not show up for practice, belittling the influence of rookie coach Stephen Silas. Still, the Rockets management and owner Tilman Fertitta is positive that the 8-time NBA All-star is there to stay.

Can the Warriors acquire James Harden from the Rockets?

Just imagine, Stephen Curry’s shooting prowess matched with Harden’s Iso moves and those pick-and-rolls. Mouthwatering! Even with a slightly different play, if Harden takes the defensive side and helps Curry take those open 3’s, that works equally effectively. Curry has shown earlier, with Kevin Durant, that he can play alongside another star and share his piece of numbers.

Also, the GSW organization has just the right deal to offer it to the Rockets. They can probably let go of Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, and a couple of future first-round picks to house Harden.

Well, all these are, as Stephen rightly said, part of the business where assumptions can either die or take sudden shape. Nobody knows what to expect!
